Dear students of DSJ, we hereby call on all of you to participate as a class in an exciting competition! We want to know which classes exhibit environmentally-friendly behavior and pay special attention to the following:

  • We avoid waste by bringing reusable packaging for drinks and food instead of single-use plastic packaging to school.
  • We carefully separate our waste in class into compostable organic waste, paper, plastic, and general waste. Waste from glass or metal is disposed of in the appropriate bins in the school hall.
  • We also diligently separate our waste outside the classroom.
  • We save energy by
  • keeping windows closed when the AC is running,
  • turning off the AC when no one is in the room,
  • and switching off lights and electrical devices (projectors, computers, monitors, etc.) when not in use.

  • We save water by ensuring that faucets are tightly closed after use. If a flush or sink is not working in the toilets, we report it to the reception.

To determine the winning class, various environmental ambassadors - the GREENBUSTERS — will regularly inspect classrooms and award points. The class with the most points by the start of the Green Week on April 22nd wins!

  1. Prize: A day trip with the entire class and a shared meal.
  2. Prize: IDR 1 million for the class fund
  3. Prize: IDR 500,000 for the class fund

Be an Environmental-Hero and good luck to all of you!
