Campus Park
Our spacious and scenic campus park is one of our most beautiful features: protected by large trees, wide grass and sport fields, and multiple playgrounds,
it offers plenty of space to breathe and thrive and limitless opportunities for
healthy movement for our students.
Playgrounds
Our young students have access to age-appropriate outdoor playgrounds, one of them exclusively for our Kindergarten children. They offer anything kids love to encourage play and physical activity:
- Slides and swings
- Sandboxes with a water pump
- Play houses and jungle gyms for climbing
- Large outdoor chess board
- And even a wooden ship for our little pirates
Classrooms
The German School Jakarta offers students large, friendly and bright classrooms for comfortable learning. Most of our school furniture is imported from Germany, featuring ergonomic functionality. All Rooms are ready for online schooling, being digitally equipped with fast WiFi, projectors, PCs, and tablets. Special art, craft and music rooms, as well as our cultural pavilion, provide space for creative development.
Science Labs
Due to the importance of natural science in the German curriculum, we are privileged to have
three fully equipped science laboratories for biology, physics, and chemistry. These labs provide crucial firsthand experiences and help preparing our senior students for a higher education in science. Moreover, we provide two
fully equipped IT rooms for computer science.
Libraries
Our students have access to a well sorted library with a dedicated room for primary students and a large section with adolescent and adult literature. Our Early Childhood Education provides dedicated library corners for our youngest to
ignite the joy of reading. Comfortable lounge and seating arrangements invite for relaxed reading and learning.
Indoor Hall
Our multicultural school life revolves around an impressive indoor hall. It's where our students arrive in the morning, meet in between classes, and play during longer breaks. This assembly hall adds grandness to many of our school events, such as year-end parties, new students welcome, visits from celebrities and politicians, and important public celebrations.
Auditorium
Our 350 seat auditorium features modern sound and stage technology that provides
the perfect setting for many of our regular school activities such as orchestra and band concerts, acting classes and theatre plays, reading competitions, science fairs, and some important school celebrations like graduations and year-end events.
Canteen & Warung
Our professionally managed indoor and outdoor canteen offers
tasty and nutritious European style food to our students and teachers, while the adjacent traditional Warung pavilion complements with its Indonesian menu. Both facilities combined offer
plenty of space to revitalise and refresh.
Football Fields
Our FIFA sized grass football field and two concrete soccer playgrounds offer
perfect training conditions for our football loving children and parents. Football training camps with professional coaches and occasional Jakarta school football tournaments add action and excitement to our campus.
Swimming Pools
A 25m swimming pool and a dedicated and secure children pool at the Kindergarten area provide
excellent training conditions to learn how to swim and experience different water sports. Regular internal, as well as inter-school competitions provide students the opportunity to compare their performance with others and to enjoy the excitement around those events.
Sports Hall
Our modern, multipurpose gymnasium offers students the space and equipment for almost any indoor sport, including basketball, badminton, volleyball, hockey, gymnastics, high jump, martial arts, and many more. Regular international sport competitions, such as the prestigious SOAS Games between the German Schools in Southeast Asia, are some of the most exciting school events everyone is looking forward to.
Athletics
Our athletic facilities include a
300m running track, long jump tracks, a shot put ring, and other standard athletics disciplines, which are a fixed part of our sport curriculum. Regular school competitions, such as the Federal Youth Games (Bundesjugendspiele) and the SOAS Games, fill our campus with life.
Beach Volleyball & Tennis Courts
Two beach volleyball courts and two tennis courts complete our extensive sport facilities, which are not only for our students, but also
available to parents and teachers during our Social Saturdays.
