Hello, my name is Nina Prisilla. My students use to call me Ms. Nina. I am a teacher at the Trilingual department and have been working in my team for 16 years, since the beginning of the department.
In 1998, I studied at the University of Indonesia majoring in German language and literature and earned a bachelor's degree. After graduating, I worked for a satellite telecommunications company, then went to Germany for a year for a language program.
After returning from Germany, I actively taught German at one of the universities in Bogor, namely IPB, for almost a year. Then I applied to Deutsche Schule Jakarta and started working as a preschool teacher in the Trilingual department. After two years of teaching in preschool, I was appointed as an elementary school teacher and teach the lower primary levels (Grade 1-3) until today.
In the Trilingual program, I am responsible for teaching the Indonesian subjects as the homeroom teacher of a class for 3 consecutive years. The Indonesian subjects include Bahasa Indonesia, mathematics and civics.
I love learning languages and found my passion in teaching them. Working as a teacher at the German School Jakarta is perfect for me as it helps me developing my language skills, as well as my teaching skills. I also love the working atmosphere at DSJ, the students and the campus. It is certainly a great place to work and to learn!
