Munifah Sungkar has been a Preschool Teacher at the German School Jakarta (DSJ) since 2007, teaching English to young learners. She has been working in early childhood English education since 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies and a Diploma from the Foreign Language Academy.

Ms. Munifah‘s passion for early childhood education is what inspired her to become a teacher. What she enjoys most about her job is the healthy work-life balance, which allows her to be fully present both in class and in her personal life. She truly appreciates the collaborative environment at DSJ, where everyone supports and learns from one another.

Her pedagogical motto is:
“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”
A principle she brings into her classroom every day.

In her free time, Ms. Munifah enjoys teaching, cooking, and traveling. She has many interests, including food, movies, music, fashion, and parenting topics. She also has a fun secret talent: she is skilled at roller skating and ice skating — a great reminder to stay active and joyful.

With her caring and positive approach, Ms. Munifah creates a nurturing learning environment where children feel encouraged to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.
