Since August 2023, Herr Lukas Giner has been part of the kindergarten team at the German School Jakarta (DSJ), where he leads his group with great dedication, empathy, and enthusiasm. He supports the children in their growth and helps create a nurturing and inspiring environment in which they can thrive.
Herr Giner completed his training at the Fachschule für Sozialpädagogik – Marianum Hegne and is a qualified educator as well as a certified specialist in organization and leadership in the social sector. In addition, he has completed state-certified training as a mentor in pedagogical professions. He brings extensive experience from his previous roles as both an educator and a social-pedagogical family support worker.
He became an educator because he finds it deeply rewarding to accompany children on their developmental journey and to foster their personal growth. For him, the most beautiful aspect of his profession is that no day is ever the same, and he gets to rediscover the world through the eyes of the children. What Herr Giner appreciates most about DSJ is the large and versatile campus, which offers children countless opportunities for creativity and individual expression. The school’s dynamic and diverse learning environment makes his work especially fulfilling.
His educational motto is: “I want to empower children in their uniqueness so that they can enrich the community with their individuality.” This philosophy guides his daily work and reflects his belief in the importance of recognizing each child’s strengths. In his free time, Herr Giner enjoys skiing, traveling, and going to the gym. His favorite quote, “Once a year, go somewhere you’ve never been before,” reflects his curiosity and love for exploring new perspectives.
With his positive attitude, empathy, and dedication, Herr Giner is a valuable member of the DSJ kindergarten team and makes a lasting contribution to the school community.
