My name is Laurine Peifer. After growing up in in a small village in Rhineland-Palatinate my path led me to the University of Education in Karlsruhe, where I successfully completed the First State Examination for teaching at primary and secondary schools in the subjects German, Protestant Theology and History. After my traineeship I had the opportunity to gain valuable and varied experience at an inclusive all-day primary school near Mainz for seven years.



As a teacher I am very passionate about my work and my students. My intention is not only to impart subject knowledge to my students, but also accompany them in their individual learning process, and thereby promote independent and responsible learning as well as democratic thinking and acting.

To me the German School Jakarta is a particularly appealing place of learning and educating, as it unites people of many different nationalities, age groups and cultural backgrounds all under one roof. I’m glad to be part of this great community where we can all work and learn together in a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
