Hello! Or, as we like to say in German, Hallo! My name is Ken Laksmi Muninggar, but my students usually just call me Frau Ken, meaning Ms Ken. I teach German as a foreign language in the preschool and lower primary levels (Grade 1-3) of the International Department.

I started learning German in high school. Fun fact: as a student, I went to a one-week German language camp at the Deutsche Schule Jakarta, where I fell in love with the language. Following an exchange year in Dresden, Germany, I continued to study German at the State University of Malang, my hometown. Eight years since I first set foot in DSJ, I came back... but this time as a teacher!

It has almost been five years since I joined the teaching team at DSJ. Over the years, teaching has brought me so much joy, so many lessons, and plenty cute greeting cards written by small but creative hands. Just as much as they have given me, I hope my students also gain impactful knowledge for their future and would always share the same excitement for learning and passion for the beautiful German language.
