Since August 2021, Friedrich Fuß has enriched the team of the German School Jakarta as a teacher and Head of the Upper Secondary School, contributing his expertise in Biology and Geography. Having completed his studies at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg, Herr Fuß brings a deep passion for the natural sciences and geography to his teaching, inspiring his students to share his curiosity and enthusiasm for these subjects.
For Herr Fuß, the most rewarding part of his profession is working directly with his students — learning together, exchanging ideas, and experiencing growth on both sides. These daily interactions motivate him and make his work truly meaningful. At the DSJ, Herr Fuß especially values the open and inclusive atmosphere that encourages collaboration and intercultural exchange, creating an ideal environment for learning and personal development. His educational motto, “Everyone can learn,” reflects his belief that with the right support and encouragement, each student can unfold their full potential.
Outside the classroom, Herr Fuß enjoys travelling and dedicates time to repairing and restoring various things — a creative and practical passion that reflects his patience and curiosity. His favourite quote by Vincent van Gogh, “What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?” captures his openness to new experiences and his willingness to take on challenges.
With his positivity, dedication, and calm presence, Herr Fuß is a valued member of the Upper Secondary School and a true asset to the entire DSJ community.
