Biyan Harapan | One of Germany’s Youngest Doctors

After moving back to Indonesia from Germany, Biyan, with his family, decided to continue pursuing a German education at the DSJ (formerly known as DIS). During his school career, Biyan managed to skip an entire grade and still got an almost perfect 1,1 in his Abitur, a record that still holds today! On top of that, Biyan has received a full scholarship by the DAAD (www.daad.id).

Biyan pursued his medical studies at the University of Leipzig and the famous University of Heidelberg, Germany’s top university for medicine. Although being very young, Biyan managed to complete his studies in no time and is now a successful doctor. He has finished his PhD as a specialist Neurosurgeon in the Department of Neurosurgery at the prestigious LMU Munich and has already published his first scientific papers.

Biyan’s story has inspired many DSJ students, proving how one can achieve and accomplish a lot even at a very young age.
